Oscuro 3.0 – WinterBoard Theme

Oscuro 3.0 oscuro302 Oscuro 3.0 is a dark WinterBoard theme that contains 39 icons, dock, wallpaper, lock screen background, sliders, badges, lock screen battery, weather theme and a few other mods. The only problem with this theme is that it really needs to stay on a black background for the icons to display correctly. You can change the background but, it is pretty difficult to see the icons if you do. One good thing about the theme is that it contains a template for the icons (a .psd file). If you would like to get the file, you can ssh into the Library/Themes/Oscuro [Krs] folder and you will find it there. Oscuro 3.0 is available via the MacCiti source. [Read more…]

Steampunk – WinterBoard Theme

Steampunk steampunk3 Steampunk is a WinterBoard theme that contains 217 icons, a dock, badges, sliders, lock screen battery, lock screen background, wallpaper…etc. Due to the design of the dock, the theme looks the best with only three rows of icons or four rows of icons without the icon label’s turned off. Also, this is an Italian theme so, many of the icons need to be renamed (see list below for details). Other than that, it does contain some pretty cool icons. How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for oGn v3 in Cydia, run the install.

Ghost Ice – WinterBoard Theme

Ghost Ice ghosticetheme4 Ghost Ice is a WinterBoard theme that contains a wallpaper, dock, sliders, lock screen background, 42 icons, lock screen battery and a few other small mods. As with most themes, this one does take a little ssh work to get it to look completely correct. Because this theme is from a primarily French repository, some of the icons need to be renamed (from French to English). You can ssh into the Library/Themes/Ghost-Ice.theme/Icons folder and rename the following three icons; Calendrier to Calendar, Horloge to Clock and Appareil photo to Camera. Revolver Remix – WinterBoard Theme

Revolver Remiximg_0666 Revolver Remix is a updated version of the original theme. It contains icons, wallpaper, sliders, badges, lock screen battery and a full UI. The theme has a purple UI and nicely designed icons. You can get Revolver Remix via the modmyi source.

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the modmyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Revolver Remix in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Revolver Remix Theme.

Cubez – WinterBoard Theme

Cubes img_1141 Cubez is a cube style WinterBoard theme. I actually received an email about this theme a few weeks ago…and now it has made it’s way to Cydia. The icons are little cubes (which I must say are very cute!). The theme doesn’t seem to contains a lot…some icons, a wallpaper and badges. The one catch to this theme is that you need to turn on Transparent Dock in order for it to look correct. This is because the dock is part of the wallpaper. iSummer Theme – WinterBoard Theme (SBSettings Theme)

iSummer isummertheme iSummer is a nice WinterBoard theme that contains slides, a dock, status bar, badges, dialer, pop-up mod, wallpaper, 64 icons…etc. It is a dark theme but, it is well designed. I did notice that the theme folder has an icons2 folder with more icons in it. So, if you are ssh savvy, you can ssh into the Library/Theme/iSummer 2.0/icons2 folder and copy out all the icons and add them to the Library/Themes/iSummer 2.0/Icons folder. Scour – WinterBoard Theme

Scour scourtheme2 Scour is a unique WinterBoard theme, nicely designed theme. I haven’t seen one quite like this. It contains; a dock, status bar, wallpaper, badges and 47 icons. There is one problem with this theme, the Weather icon was not packaged correctly and so you will need to ssh in (Library/Themes/Scour/Icons) and change the weather.png icon to Weather.png. The One Ring – WinterBoard Theme

The One Ring theoneringtheme2 The One Ring is a Lord of the Rings inspired theme. The theme contains a wallpaper, lock screen background, status bar, badges, sliders, lock screen battery, 79 icons, loading screen, calculator mod, dialer mod and basically an entire UI mod. Usually I do not write about themes that are based off thins like Lord of the Rings or Mickey Mouse or whatever but, this one is very complete. The only issue is that it is packaged for firmware 2.x so that Message app doesn’t have an icon. That can be easily fixed by sshing into the Library/Themes/The One Ring/Icons folder and changes Texts.png to Messages.png. You can get The One Ring Theme via the BigBoss source. [Read more…]

Sam D1 – WinterBoard Theme

Sam D1 samditheme5 Sam D1 is a sleek theme that has semi-transparent icons. The theme contains; three wallpapers, a dock, 284 icons and some UI mods (though, I’m not huge on the UI mods). The theme in it’s original state, is supposed to have all blank icons except for the last column on the page so that you are able to see the wallpaper graphic. But, I don’t really like the wallpaper so I installed Carbon Wallpaper via the PwnCenter source and used it instead. Also, the Stocks icon is not correct. The theme’s folder contains an icon for the Stocks application however, it does not match the theme. Other than that…the icons are pretty cool. You can get Sam D1 via the MacCiti source. WinterBoard Update – iPhone 3GS Compatible

##ICON_NAME## WinterBoard has been updated to version 0.9.2958-2. According to saurik, the developer; “The newly released 0.9.2958 versions of MobileSubstrate and WinterBoard (upgraded to support ARM7/Thumb2) should now work on the iPhone 3GS.” So, YAY! Let us know in the comments how the update does for you. For those of you who do not have an iPhone 3GS….you will still want to upgrade to the new version of WinterBoard. 8liasTAG – WinterBoard Theme

8liasTAG 8liastag3 8liasTAG is a cool WinterBoard theme. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper, status bar, lock background, 100 icons, slider and badge. However, as with every theme, this one does have a catch. The Stocks icon is spelled incorrectly in the package so, you will need to ssh in and change it from Stock.png to Stocks.png. Also, I think the wrong size wallpaper was included in the package. The wallpaper is 533×800 and it needs to be 320×480 (the correct size is below for those off you who would like to ssh it in). Boxxy Cons Theme – WinterBoard Theme

Boxxy cons Theme boxxyconstheme3 Boxxy cons Theme is a unique theme made up of small icons. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper and 29 icons. Unfortunately, the theme is not packaged for the 3.0 firmware which means if you are on 3.0, you will need to ssh in and change Text.png to Messages.png. The iTunes icon is also packages incorrectly and is spelled iTunea.png and need to be changes to iTunes.png. You can find the icons in the Library/Theme/Boxxycons.theme/Icons folder. [Read more…]

SpringBoard Clock Update

SpringBoard Clock There is an update to SpringBoard Clock, a mod that adds the current time and date to your SpringBoard, to version 1.1. The update is said to change the app so that the user can use their own wallpaper and includes some bug fixes. I gave the update a shot and I’m still not having much luck. The wallpaper of the mod has been changed to a blank wallpaper but, I still cannot use it with another theme’s wallpaper (by moving the theme above the SpringBoard Clock mod in WinterBoard) or use my own wallpaper with the mod (by moving User Wallpaper above the SpringBaord Clock mod in WinterBoard).
