Trism 0.3.19

Trism All I can say is WOW! This game is seriously sweet! I will give you a little bit of info about the app and explain a little bit about how it is played but, the video below (by the developer) really shows the full sweetness of the game. When you open the app it will scroll through a few splash screen giving you information about the app. This version of Trism is just a demo, the full version is due for release with SDK. The demo is free, the full version will be $4.99. The object of Trism is to match three or more triangle. The triangles have to be the same color and they have to touch be touching on the sides of each other (not the points) in order to create a match. To move a triangle, [Read more…]

More Logo Designs

Hi guys! I have spent the last two hours using Photoshop (which, I must say, is not always cooperative!) to edit, convert and upload more of our Logo Design Contest entries to the Logo Contest’s flickr set. I did a quick calculation and we have around 200 logos submitted so far! Which means Photoshop and I will be spending quite a bit of quality time together! Keep an eye on our flckr page to see the new logo submissions as they are added! Or, you can see a slideshow of them on the Logo Design Contest page.

Note: You have until midnight (CST) on Wednesday, April 23rd Tuesday, April 22nd (that’s tonight) to sumbit your entries. Sorry about the massive typing error!!

MobileScrobbler 1.4.3-2

MobileScrobbler MobileScrobbler is a last.fm client made by Sam Steele. Let me start of by saying that this application is AMAZING!!!! The whole point of last.fm is to discover and share music. Once you install the application, you have to log into your last.fm account by going into your Settings and then selecting MobileScrobbler (the settings for the app are added as an option in the stock Settings.app). In the MobileScrobbler settings you are able to disable scrobble, which is the act of posting information about the song you played last on your iPhone or iPod Touch to your Last.fm profile. You can also change the theme, enable or disable gestures, popup controls, and discovery mode. Once you open the application, [Read more…]

Twinkle 0.75

Twinkle Yay! Clickable links! and that’s not all! Now everyone can see the image you took with Twinkle via a link in your Tweet! Ok, enough with the exclamation points but this is really sweet. I also noticed the distance I choose in “Near Me” stays even after a respring. One more feature I noticed was that you can now follow people. Seems to be a glitch though, if I’m already following someone the button still says follow, I tap follow then it changed to stop following. It should start as stop following if I’m already following them. Do you follow me? :) [Read more…]

Moleskine 0.19-3

Moleskine I was totally stoked when I saw the update to Moleskine in the Installer. However, there are no visual changes to version 0.19-3 of Moleskine. The app itself functions the same. The change has to do with the Installer p.list file. You actually may even want to skip updating to version 0.19-3 (there is really no need to) because in a few cases it has deleted the Notes that were previously created. It worked fine for me and did not overwrite the notes I had created but, [Read more…]

moleskine 0.32a

moleskineThis is one of the best uses of the accelorometer in a productivity app I have seen. Twisting & flipping to effect menus and settings. You gotta see this:

iPhoneDoom

iPhoneDoom iPhoneDoom was started by stephwhite and now it is under the management of psychochromatic. This is a native port of the classic game Doom for the iPhone/iPod Touch. I was so excited, since it was the classic Doom. Apparently, the game is unplayable; allow me to expand. When you start the application, it is impossible to navigate through the menus, since there are no set controls. I had no idea which gestures to make. I was lucky and I got into the actual game. Once again, [Read more…]

Logo Design Contest on Flickr

The logo design contest is almost over, but we thought we’d give you a little inspiration! We’re adding logo submissions to a flickr set here. You can also see a slideshow of them below or on the Logo Design Contest page. As of right now, we only have a few of the submissions added, will continue to add them over the next few days. Logo submissions must be in by April 22 at Midnight!

Here’s some of the logos that have been submitted so far:

iMemory 0.4.1

iMemoryThe update to version 0.4.1 of iMemory does exactly what I was expecting it to do…fixes it so that your time is added to the Hall of Fame option. In the previous version, after you had completed a game, you were prompted to give your name but then it didn’t do anything with it. The Hall of Fame just stayed the same…Jon Doe (Ha! I still think that is funny..Jon Doe!). However, now when you finish a game and enter your name, it will be added to the Hall of Fame list. Once you have five scores in the Hall of Fame, [Read more…]

ClickOnce 0.0.2

ClickOnce There was an update to version 0.0.2 on ClickOnce today. However, based on my experience with it…I would say do not install it!! It made my iPhone crash massively! After I installed ClickOnce and then closed Installer, my iPhone tried to respring (like it always does after installing an app) and it got stuck in a loop. I saw flashing white screens, scrolling white lines, and all sorts of other crazy things. I had to SSH in and delete the app. So, I would hold off for now. If you already installed it…let me know how it went for you! ClickOnce is available through the iPhoneCake source.

TimeCapsule 0.27b1

TimeCapsule Version 0.27b1 of TimeCapsule adds a few more apps to the list of those that can be backed-up. The new apps include; Locations, Lockbox, MPG, PockeyMoney, Preferences, Pumped and SpringBoard Preferences Plist. It’s pretty cool that you now have the ability to backup your Preferences. TimeCapsule is available through the databinge repo.

BossPrefs 1.66

BossPrefsThe update to BossPrefs 1.66 does exactly what I was hoping it would do!! It fixes the Phone toggle so that it works with AT&T (contract carriers). I tried it and it works great! Though, there is one small issue but you will have to read about in a few sentences so make sure you read carefully! I am going to quote the Developer for the rest of the update info because he says exactly what I was going to say about the update!

ToggleBacklight 0.0.1-2

ToggleBacklight Ever wish you could dim your backlight without going into the Settings, selecting Brightness, changing the brightness and then going back to the SpringBoard. Welcome to the one touch solution…ToggleBacklight! Tap the ToggleBacklight icon…you will get a splashscreen and then voilà back to the SpringBoard with a dimmer backlight. To go back to your brighter backlight, tap the ToggleBacklight icon again and there you go! I love this because there are times when the auto-brightness feature just doesn’t cut it. Especially if you are a bedtime iPhone browser (and you know you are!)… [Read more…]

SpringDial 0.9994

SpringDialSince the last time I did a review of SpringDial there have been a few options added. Once the app is open…there are two new options on the lower menu bar; Donate and News. The app actually opens to the News page. It just gives you info about SpringDial and Disclaimer. Other than that, there are no changes in the functionality of the app. However, I can’t seem to get this version to work. Every time I create a SpeedDial, it says that it has been created but when I close the app it makes my iPhone act all crazy (flashing white screen…not good!). Once I finally get it back the the SpringBoard, [Read more…]
