Today, Lexic has been update to version 2.0. I very rarely write about App Store app updates but, this is absolutely my favorite word game. The update adds a new game option called Quest.
Quest adds a whole new dimension to the game. The object of Quest is still to earn as many points as possible but, in order to advance to the next level, you have to collect the specified amount of Gold letters (by using them in a word). That sounds easy enough however, you have to collect them while navigating through Bomb, Lock, Virus and Letter Switching titles. [Read more…]

Snood is currently on sale for $2.99, down from the original price of $3.99. Snood is a puzzle games where the object is to match three of the same color characters… thus making them disappear.
This is the first time the app has been on sale since it’s August release and it is not a large discount price, but if you have been holding off… you may want to pick it up now.

Rename II is an application that allows you to easily change the name of Stock, Jailbroke and App Store applications.
Rename II is very simple to use. The application gives you three options; /Applications, Appstore Apps and About. The /Applications option lists apps that are in your /Applications folder. Today, 2XL Games announced the release of 2XL ATV Offroad, an ATV offroad racing game. Like 2XL Games previous release, 2XL Supercross, 2XL ATV Offroad looks to have sweet graphics and awesome gameplay.
“With 2XL ATV Offroad, we set rather ambitious goals in terms of gameplay and visual presentation,” said Rick Baltman, President of 2XL Games. “The final product has undoubtedly exceeded those goals. There are so many choices for each rider in terms of tracks, control schemes, camera, skin combinations and modes. It seems that at this year’s Adobe MAX event, Adobe has decided to announce a few applications. The applications use the new Flash Professional CS5. Some of these applications are already available in the App Store.
Along with the new applications, Adobe also announced the ability for developers to use CS5 to start developing their own apps using Flash. “Adobe now makes it possible to create applications for the Apple iPhone using the Adobe Flash Platform. You heard right: We’re really excited to bring this new capability to Flash designers and developers—the ability to target the iPhone with ActionScript 3 projects. 1Shoot is a Camera application that gives you three shot options; Steady, Touch and Timer.
A double-tap on the screen will bring you to the menu. Here you will find the three shot options (Timer, Touch and Steady). In the Timer mode you have two pre-set times available to choose from; 5 seconds and 10 seconds. The Steady option also has two modes to choose from regular and car mode.
Once you take a picture, the image is added to the bottom of the screen as a thumbnail. You can view the full size image by tapping on the thumbnail once. If you decide you would like to keep one of the photos, you can save it to your Camera Roll by double-tapping it. WootWatch, an application that shows you the current item selling on Woot.com, has been update to version 1.5. The update adds a few new features including the integration of kids.woot into the application. Check out the full change log below. Another cool new feature is the ability to rearrange the tabs on the lower menu bar.
