New Poll – What app do you use to get jailbroke applications onto your iPhone and/or iPod touch?

AiS Time for a new poll. The last poll was – Do you use the passcode lock on your iPhone and/or iPod touch? Below are the results.

* Yes (46.0%, 485 Votes)
* No (54.0%, 559 Votes)
Total Voters: 1,044

I think it is interesting that this is almost a 50/50 vote. I still haven’t decided if I’m going to passcode lock my iPhone or not… at the moment it does not have a passcode lock on it. You can still vote on this Poll in our Poll Archive page. You can also vote/view all the past polls on the Poll Archive page as well.

The next poll I decided to do after some frustration about the fact that lately quite a few jailbroke applications automatically install the Rock Your iPhone RockApp when they are installed. I personally use Cydia and do not want to install RockApp. Then I got to thinking… maybe some people do use RockApp. Thus the poll.

What app do you use to get jailbroke applications onto your iPhone and/or iPod touch?

Action Menu Update – Reorder Favorites

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

##ICON_NAME## Action Menu, a mod that adds additional options to the stock Cut, Copy and Paste functionality, has received another update. As with the previous update a few days ago, this update to version 1.0.2 also adds a few new features as well as fixes a few bugs (see change log below). One cool new feature is that ability to rearrange the favorites into the order you prefer (I was wondering when this would be implemented) as well as the ability to add multi-line favorites. See screenshots below. Action Menu is available via the BigBoss source. [Read more…]

Robotvision – Augmented Reality Application

Available In: App Store       Price: Coming Soon

##ICON_NAME## Robotvision is an augmented reality application. A quick wiki definition of Augmented Reality – “a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with-, or augmented by virtual computer-generated imagery – creating a mixed reality”

I got an email about this application and was instantly intrigued. I think these type of applications are just crazy! Think… you are walking down the sidewalk on your lunch break and you decide to hit-up a coffee shop but you are feeling adventurous and want to branch out from the one you usually go to so, you whip out your iPhone, open Robotvision and select the Coffee Shop option… you hold up your iPhone and as you walk down the sidewalk it begins to display all the surrounding coffee shops (in your actual “physical environment”)… you turn to the right and it displays the coffee shops that are down that street, you turn to the left and it displays the coffee shops that are down that street. iBlast Moki – Physics Game Now Available in the App Store

Available In: App Store       Price: $1.99

##ICON_NAME## A few weeks ago, we told you that Godzilab had announced a new physics game, iBlast Moki. The game hit the App Store late last week. I had a chance to test it out all week-end and I was not disappointed!

I am normally not too attracted to physics games (unlike Doug who LOVES them) usually due to the fact that they frustrate me to no end! So, when I downloaded iBlast Moki, I wasn’t sure how much I was going to enjoy the game but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. [Read more…]

SpotSMS Update – Now Displays Contact’s Name in Spotlight SMS Results

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

SpotSMS SpotSMS, s a mod allows the stock Spotlight Search to search within your SMS (and MMS) messages, received an update to version 0.2. The update changes the search results so that they display the contact’s name instead of just the phone number from which the text was received/sent. However, I noticed that even though most of results now display the Contact’s name, some still display the phone number. There doesn’t seem to be any specific reason that some display the name and others do not… let me know in the comments if you are experiencing the same thing. [Read more…]
