iHandy:) Update – Adds Emojicon Option

iHandy:) iHandy:) was recently updated to version 1.0.3. The update adds an Emoji option. The Emoji option allows the ability to turn on/off the Emjoicon keyboard. It is not necessary to have Emoji’s already installed in order to use this option… when you install/update iHandy:) it automatically installs them for you. Once you have the Emoji option turned on in iHandy;), you can turn on the Emoji keyboard by going into your stock Settings application, General, Keyboard, International Kayboards, Japanese and turning on the Emoji option. Mac Reveal – WinterBoard Theme

Mac Reveal macrevealtheme2 Mac Reveal is a WinterBoard theme that contains 173 icons, a dock and a wallpaper. The icons are transparent so they can technically be used with any wallpaper. How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the modmyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Mac Reveal in Cydia, run the install.

Battery Control – Turn on/off Statusbar Battery Icon and Percentage

Battery Control Battery Control is a simple application that allows you to turn on/off the Statusbar battery icon and the Statusbar battery percentage. Once the app is installed, it is added as an option in the stock Settings application. The app gives you two options, turn on/off Show Battery and turn on/off Show Percentage.

A simple application but, I think one of the only that allows you to turn off the battery icon and still leave the battery percentage. Doug like that he can turn off the battery icon and have some additional space on his statusbar. You can get Battery Control via modmyi source.

Matte Nano – WinterBoard Theme

Matte Nano mattenanano4 Matte Nano is a WinterBoard Theme that contains a wallpaper, dock, badges, status bar and 2,295 icons (though, a lot of those are duplicate icons). The theme folder also contains an icon template (a .psd file) located in the Library/Themes/Matte Nano/Icons folder. One cool thing about this theme is that it resizes all icons, even if they do not have an actual icon created for the theme, that way at least all your icons are the same size. To make this theme even more complete, you can install Matte UI Graphite and Matte SBSettings. When you have all three mods installed it is a nice, complete theme. iHandy:) iHandy:) is an application that gives you a few more settings options. Once installed, you can get to iHandy via the stock Settings application. Here you are able to turn on/off the Battery Percentage, Hide Battery Elements, Hide Low Power Alerts and the Reflective Dock. You are also able to choose your Home Button double-tap. Dark Blue – WinterBoard Theme

Dark Blue darkblue2 Dark Blue is a Winterboard theme that contains 59 icons, Dock, wallpaper, lock background, Notes mod, Weather mod, Dialer mod.. etc. The theme does not need any editing on the 3.0 firmware… everything seems to be packaged correctly. You can get Dark Blue via the modmyi source.

How to Install

2. Make sure you have the SOS iPhone source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Picnic-V2 in Cydia, run the install.

Soda – WinterBoard Theme

Soda sodatheme3 Soda is a WinterBoard theme that contains 40 small icons, 2 docks, 4 wallpapers, badges, and page dots. The theme does install an Extra Icons pack which can also be enabled in WinterBoard. If you are on the 3.x firmware, the Messages icon will not display corrrectly, you will need to ssh into the Library/Themes/Soda.theme/Icons folder and change Text.png to Messages.png. I also noticed that there were a few alternate icons in the Library/Themes/Soda.theme/Icons folder folder. So, you can always check those out as well.

The theme does include a template for the icons (.psd file). If you open the Read Me file, you will find instructions on how to use the template. You can get Soda via the modmyi source. [Read more…]

Supreme Preferences Three I started this review before we went on vacation last week and didn’t get a chance to finish it… that it why you are just getting it now.

If you have been on AppleiPhoneSchool.com for a while now, you probably already know my feelings on Supreme Preference type applications… I am very leery of them, always test them on a test device and hardly ever put them on my personal iPhone. WeatherIcon Update – LockInfo Compatibility, Added Info to Settings and Bug Fix

WeatherIcon The WeatherIcon mod was recently update to version 2.1.16. The update doesn’t make any visual change to the mod itself but, it does add a description of the Override Location feature in the Settings for the app. The update also adds compatibility with LockInfo and includes a bug fix. Alit – WinterBoard Theme

Alit alittheme2 Alit is a WinterBoard theme that contains a wallpaper, status bar, dock, lock screen background, slider, 65 icons and badge. The theme’s folder also contains an icon template, a .psd file (you can get the file by sshing in and it is located in the Library/Themes/Alit.theme folder). The unique thing about this theme is that it themes all icons (except web clips and some random Cydia apps). If the theme doesn’t have a specific icon made for an app, it just themes the app’s original icon (see screenshots below). It even themes the icons in the App Store. If you open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPod Touch, while Alit is enabled, you will notice that even the app thumbnails are themed! It is nice to have themes like this. That way, all the icons are themed instead of half of them. It helps that it is a cool theme too…I really like the dock. [Read more…]
