WordClock 0.1b

WordClock WordClock is an application that displays the date and time in word format. When you open the application, you will see that it lists Sunday-Saturday, the first through the thirty-first, one through fifty-nine, am, pm, zero through fifty-two…in words. It will have the today’s date in read…ex; Sunday, the fifteenth of June. It will then have the exact time in red as well…ex; five thirty-six pm and twenty-three. It will change the seconds in real time. You can tap the screen to get into the Settings menu. From here you can change the Background, Foreground and Highlight color. The only issue with this is that you cannot see the color you are changing it to. It would be easier if there was a slider bar the displayed how you were affecting the color when you changed the Red, Green and Blue. The only other issue I have with this application is [Read more…]

Tumbler 1.0

Tumbler I already wrote this review once but, I’m not really sure what happened to it…my bad!! So, here we go again! Tumbler is a little application that uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to make a the character on the screen “tumble.” It reminds me of those blow-up figures that you can hit and they stand right back up! When you open the application you will see a figure on the screen, just tilt you iPhone to make it move. Tumbler is avialable through the iSpazio source.

FingerRun 0.1b

FingerRun FingerRun is a treadmill application for your fingers developed by ipodtouchmaster. When you start the application, you will see a treadmill. You are supposed to make a running motion on the treadmill with your finger in order to make the blue number increase. You can actually make the number increase by swiping anywhere. I just took my finger and made circle motions, and got to 6,000 in no time. :) After 6,500 the application randomly crashed. This application is great if you want your fingers to lose weight or something. You can get FingerRun from the iSpazio source. Check out the screen shots below.

BigClock 1.0 & 1.1.1

BigClock BigClock is a simple application through the iSpazio source that displays a digital clock on your iPhone’s screen. The clock uses the entire screen. All you have to do is open the application and it will load the clock. I’m not sure what you would use this for on a daily bases however, I could see using it when we record our video podcasts so that we know how long we have been talking for!! Let me know in the comments what you might use this application for!

Update: There was a quick update to version 1.1.1 of BigClock. With the update, you are able to double-tap on the time to change it to military time. You can then double-tap again to change it back to standard time.

iTaste 1.0 & 1.1

iTaste iTaste is an application made by Heng Liu, that allows you to create your own avatar. Basically, you can make your own caricature by tapping the four different arrows. You can change the face, eyes, hair, nose, mouth, and ears. The possibilities of different avatars is unlimited because you can add more pictures, by placing the pictures in this directory on your iPhone/iPod Touch – /Applications/iTaste.app/iTaseDefine/. This is a great timewaster, and the best part for me is trying to make the weirdest face :).

iTaste 1.1 brings two new cool updates. [Read more…]

SpoofAPP 2.0

SpoofAppThis is another application that I have held off on trying for a few updates now. Jacob did a review of SpoofAPP a while back but, it’s time to give it another go and man is the new interface nice. When you first open SpoofAPP you will need to create a username and password and go through a few set-up steps (see screenshots below). Once you have done this, you will get a pin number and five minutes free so that you can test out the application. You will notice that there is a new lower menu bar in which you have the following options; Settings, Buy Minutes, Keypad, Contacts and Recents. There are a ton of options in the Settings including [Read more…]

Band Instruments

Band There have been quite a few (13 to be exact) Instrument add-ons for Band in the last few days. Below is a list, screenshot, short description and video of each. I would highly recommend taking a look at the instruments and picking the ones that you like best. I found that Band can only handle around 3-4 additional instruments (besides the eight that come with it). Even then it randomly crashes. When I installed more than 4 additional instruments, Band would open to the splash screen hang there a minute and then close back to the SpringBoard. Band is available through the ModMyiFone source. All of the following Instruments are also available through the ModMyiFone source.

Band 1.0-1 & Band Instrument Pack 1 1.0

Band YAY! It has finally arrived. The long awaited Band application for the iPhone is now available in the Installer via the ModMyiFone source. You start off by installing the actual Band app. During install, it will prompt you to also install the Band Instrument Pack 1. However, you might want to install the 11.2MB Instrument Pack while connected to WiFi! Once both are installed, you get a huge range of features and instruments. When you first open Band, it will open to a main menu with the following options; Setup, Load/Save, Help and Play Instruments. The Setup option will bring you to another menu with the options; Recorder, Instrument and Metronome. The Load/Save option has not been implemented yet and the Help option will give you 18 pages of help….yes, 18 pages!! To get to the fun stuff, [Read more…]

Band isn’t out yet but it should be released in Installer under the modmyifone source in a few days. Here’s a preview:

Linux Installer 1.0

Linux Installer Here is a fun little app for all your linux lovers. Linux is an app that makes it look as though Linux is being installed on your iPhone. The part I love about this app is that ever though it is just a fun app, with no huge purpose, it is well built! When you open the app, you will get a pop-up saying, Welcome to Linux Installer. Please press install to start the Installation. So, when you tap the screen the pop-up will disappear and you will get a blank screen with an Install button. When you tap Install, [Read more…]

PocketGuitar 0.3.1

PocketGuitar Version 0.3.1 of PocketGuitar just makes one small change. It “removed “0th fret” image that appeared on the fretboard.” I’m not exaclty sure what that means…but, it sounds like something that needed to be removed! :) PocketGuitar is available through the ModMyiFone.com source.

PocketGuitar 0.3.1

PocketGuitar 0.3

PocketGuitar PocketGuitar has a sweet new look and a new icon! The new look is much more stylish and sleek…I like it! Besides the change in the look of the app, there are a few more options in the Settings as well. You will still see the same three instrument options as in the previous version (Distorted Guitar, Acoustic-Electric Guitar and Electric Bass) however, there is now an option to edit the fretboard. If you tap on Edit Fretboard, [Read more…]
