The Planet-iPhones source has been merged into the BigBoss source. You can now find all the Planet-iPhone mods in the Planet-iPhones Mod section of the Installer.
We have covered a few of the their mods/applications including the Chromium mod, Hypoxic Wallpaper Pack and ClearSMS.
iCheckMail is an application that allows you to change the interval in which your email is automatically checked. In the iPhone’s stock Mail Settings, you have the options to Auto-Check your email Manually, Every 15 Minutes, Every 30 Minutes and Every Hour. iCheckMail allows you to enter any minute interval that you would like. When the application opens, you will get a pop-up where you can enter how often you would like it to auto-check. The number has to be in whole minutes (1, 5, 30…), it will not allow seconds. Once you have entered the interval you would like, select ok.
You will get a pop-up letting you know that the new interval has been set.
If you change the auto-check in the Stock Settings, it will overwrite the interval you just set in iCheckMail. Ok, as cool as this concept sounds, [Read more…]
The update to Tipper changes the application so that all the fields are customizable. You can now enter any number into the Sub-Total, Tax %, Tip % and # of People fields, instead of having to choose from a range of numbers.
There is also a new Settings options.
In the Settings, you can set a default Tax and Top percentage. You also have the ability to email the developer. I think if you enter a number into the default percentage fields in the Settings menu, they are supposed to default to those numbers every time you open the application.

Tetris! 2.0 brings the same small changes that Penguin Panic 2.0 brought. The icon has been changed to few Tetris blocks stacked on top of each other. The “done” button on the intro keyboard is larger and the “play again” button which appears on the game over tab is also larger. The ability to submit your score has been removed with the update as well.
You can now get Tetris! 2.0 from the BigBoss source.

Penguin Panic 2.0 brings just small updates from the last version.
The icon shows the full body of a penguin rather then just a head shot like in the previous version.
The “done” button on the intro keyboard is larger and the “play again” button which appears once you lose is also larger. You also are no longer able to Submit your score when the game is over. The most important update that version 2.0 brings is that, you have to tilt your iPhone/iPod in order to start the game. I liked this feature because the game won’t start until you are ready.

Tipper 1.1 makes one small but important change to the application…a change I was hoping to see in the update to this application! You can now enter a number into the Tax percentage field instead of only having the option to chose from whole numbers (6, 7, 8…). This is great because in the State I grew up in, I remember the tax was 7.

Tipper is an application that allows you to quickly calculate a tip, the tax, the total bill and split a bill among mulitple parties. The application opens to the main screen where you can enter the sub-total of the bill, the tax percentage, the tip percentage and the number of people you would like the bill split between.
Once you have entered all the infromation, you can select Calculate Totals. This will give you a pop-up with the exact tax amount, tip amount, total bill amount and the amount each party would need to pay.

According to BigBoss’s website, he has removed iAwake2 from his repository. This is due to the fact that it is an exact copy of Insomnia…it was just renamed and given a new look. Below is the email conversation between BigBoss and an unnamed individual.

On 27/05 ModMyiFone added an app called “iAwake2″ to their repo, and I just noticed today that you included this app too. It looked suspiciously similar to another app Insomnia that was released quite long ago and is available from Ste’s source.
I downloaded both apps and, unsurprisingly, both executables are absolutely identical. So iAwake2 is just a repackaged version of Insomnia with different graphics. [Read more…]
