BlankNull Now in BigBoss Repo

BlankNull If you have fallen victim to the new iNav theme craze, you probably know how annoying it can be to have a ton of blank web clips on your SpringBoard. Well, there is a solution, BlankNull. BlankNull is an application that, when installed, removes the “link” on webclips. So, when you miss your icon and tap on a blank icon, it will no longer open Safari. Instead, it will do nothing…it basically turns it into a blank icon instead of a webclip! Pretty cool!

But, I will have to admit that this is not the first time we have seen this application. BlankNull is normally part of the Apple-News.fr source however, it has apparently now been added to the BigBoss source. [Read more…]

I must say, I actually chose quite a few of these options. One of the options that was a little low on the list but, I would love to see, is an OLED screen. Probably not going to happen but, a girl’s got to dream. I think we will definitely see More Storage, Faster Processor, More RAM and a 3.2 Megapixel Camera. I would love to see Video Recording, Longer Battery Life, Video Messaging and OLED Screen. I’m not even going to guess on the cosmetic change.

iNitsua Portrait Theme Tutorial – iNav WinterBoard Theme

iNitsua Portrait initsuaportrait1 Ok, iNitsua Portrait is a pretty sweet iNav inspired theme. There is also a landscape version of the theme but, I’m going to be concentrating on the portrait version. I’m not going to tell you how long it took me to set this theme up but I’m hoping my guide below will help you set it up in much, much, much less time than it took me!

The guide below looks a little long and probably a bit crazy but, it is because I walked through every step.

aTimeTool – Set Timers for Airplane Mode, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

aTimeTool aTimeTool is an application that allows you to set a timers that allow the ability to turn on/off your iPhone or iPod Touch’s Airplane mode, Bluetooth and WiFi. It is a pretty simple application. Once installed you have four options; Airplane Mod, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Settings.

In each option (Airplane Mod, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) you are able to set timers in which you can control when each will be turned on/off. When you add a timer (using the + icon) you have the option to make it a repeating timer…say you want your Bluetooth to turn on from 6:30am -7:30am every Mon, Wed and Fri. You can also set up multiple timers….say you want your Bluetooth to turn on from 6:30am -7:30am every Mon, Wed and Fri and from 4:30pm -5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Calculator Widget – Adds Calculator to SBSettings

Calculator Widget Calculator Widget is an application that adds a Calculator to your SBSettings toggles. I honestly delayed on checking this on out because it didn’t seem too exciting but, once I checked it out, I realized that this could be a very helpful widget!

Once installed, you will need to go into SBSettings, the More option and then the Set Toggles option and turn on the Calculator. When you select the Calculator “toggle” in SBSetting, it will open a calculator. It is not the stock calculator it is a much more simple calculator. However, there is one thing I really like about this widget. If you tap the Home Button when you have the calculator open, it will go back to your SpringBoard however, you can then tap the Status Bar and it will bring the calculator back up. This is nice if you are in an email or Safari or your notes and trying to do some calculations…it allows you to quickly switch back and forth! [Read more…]

iBlank – Create and Delete Blank Icons

iBlank Ok, iBlank has been out for some time now however, it has been a while since I have done a review of it. With all the iNav inspired themes lately, I thought it would be good to do another review of iBlank since it has had some updates since the last time I wrote about it. Most iNav themes seem to install blank icons or web clips when you install/activate the theme. Well, last night, I was settings up a slightly tedious iNav theme (which I will do a review of soon) that did not install blank icon automatically so, I had to use the iBlank application.

iBlank allows you to create blank icons. You can create 1 to 16 blank icons at a time. If you need more than 16 icons you can choose 16, wait for them to be created, choose 16 again, wait for them to be created and so on until you have as many as you need. What I really like about iBlank is that you can also quickly delete all your blank icons at once! If you create blank icons (they are technically web clips) using iBlank you can either delete them individually in “wiggle” mode or all at once using the iBlank application. [Read more…]

SBSettings Update – Hide Hold Indicator

SBSettings To keep up-to-date on the SBSettings, there have been two more updates recently. The updates 2.99-3 & 2.99-4 had one bug fix and added one new option:

    • A bug fix so that you cannot type in the mobile substrate text box
and
    • The ability to hide the hold indicator, that is the little hand image on the icons that support the hold feature (which is currently only available on the 3.x firmware). [Read more…]

DSLR Remote – Control your Canon EOS DSLR Cameras Remotely

DSLR Remote I’m not going to lie, we get quite a few Press Releases in our email. Usually, I’m not huge on publishing them unless I get one that I think is really cool. DSLR Remote is one of those Press Releases. DSLR Remote, by onOne software, is an application that allows Canon EOS DSLR cameras to be controlled remotely. The app allows the photographer to “remotely control the settings of the camera, fire the shutter, review images, and even get a live viewfinder preview.”

In order to use DSLR Remote, your camera does have to be connected to a “WiFi enabled computer” and you will need to download a free application (Mac and PC compatible) onto your computer that the DSLR Remote application interacts with. The app currently only supports Canon EOS DSLR cameras however, they are working on compatibility with Nikon DSLR cameras. [Read more…]

Black Wood – WinterBoard Theme

WinterBoard blackwoodtheme2 Black Wood is a nicely designed mostly black theme with some white and yellow accents. This is a “normal” theme (meaning not an iNav theme) so, there is no additional set-up. The theme comes with a wallpaper, dock, 269 icons, badge, slider…etc. The theme package also include a template for the icons (.psd file) which is always nice. The .psd file is located in the Library/Theme/Black Wood/Extra. I think these icons might also be small enough to be used with the FCSB mod. You can get Black Wood via the BigBoss source. IFDark No Logo – iNav WinterBoard Theme

winterBoard ifdarknologo4 IFDark No Logo is an iNav inspired theme, actually it is basically like a skin to the original iNav theme. It is definitely one of the easier iNav themes to set up. To do so, you will want to have all your application in an Apps and Games folder except the following; Phone, SMS, Email, Safari, iPod, Camera, Photo, Games and Apps.

You will want one icon on each page of your SpringBoard (in the same order they are listed in above). The icons need to be in the third row, the third icon in (see screenshots below). Once you have all nine icons arranged correctly, you can go into WinterBoard and activate the theme. [Read more…]

Star Defense – More Video Demos

Star Defense In my original review of Star Defense, we had been informed that the game would be released in the month of May. Since then, we have seen a few more demo videos and the projected May released date has been removed from any info. However, ngmoco (the developers of Star Defense), have a Press Event coming up on June 8th for Star Defense along with a few of there other apps (fast-paced shooter Death Match: Live Fire, the charming pet simulator Touch Pets: Dogs and the epic Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid).

Whether we actually see the apps released that day or not…I’m not sure but, it has got to mean that we are getting close. Below are a couple more demo videos then have released in the past few days [Read more…]

1*1 SpringBoard – No Web Clips Needed.

1*1 SpringBoard 1*1 SpringBoard is a mod that, when installed, automatically puts one icon in the middle of each page of your SpringBoard without the use of blank icons or web clips. There are a few things you should know before installing this application.

1*1 SpringBoard is not activated via WinterBoard, it is a mobile substrate application which means there is no icon for it, it just runs in the background. Which also means, you will want to prepare your iPhone BEFORE you install this application.

If you are familiar with iNav themes, then you will understand what I am about to tell you on how to prepare your iPhone. If you need more info about how to set up your iPhone or iPod Touch for a iNav theme…please check out THIS review.

You will want to have all your apps/games in an Apps and Games folder created using Categories that way you can have only the nine icons you would like on your SpringBoard. [Read more…]
