RoughDraft is a WinterBoard theme that contains 34 icons, lock background, wallpaper, dock and badges. The few icons that it does contain are well designed. The only issue with the theme is that the badge does not display. It does contain a file for the badge however, in order for it to display correctly, you will need to do some ssh work.

SBRotator SBSettings Toggle
Available In: Cydia | Price: Free |
As I mentioned yesterday, the SBRotator mod (a hack that allows your iPhone to rotate in all 4 possible orientations) now has an SBSettings toggle. The toggle is free if you have already purchased the SBRotator mod. I honestly have been trying since yesterday to get the toggle to install and was finally able to get it today. So, here we go.

Mounting an iPad into Toyota Dash – Part 2
Here’s the second part of the install of the iPad into the dash of a car. (Read part 1 here) They had some problems with getting a digital source from the iPad so they had to settle with an analog source. Still looks awesome! They also got the iPhone to work with the stock bluetooth through the aftermarket audio.
Norwegian Prime Minister Governing the Country From an iPad
The Norwegian Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, is one of many people stuck due to the volcanic ash coming from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland. This picture was taken of him in New York City. Apparently he is using an iPad for all of his communication needs. In an article from Fox News they claim he is “governing the country entirely from an iPad.” Not sure if the “entirely” part is true but still sounds kewl to me!
Dev-Team Releases Developer Jailbreak for 4.0 Firmware
We have known for a week or so that the 4.0 firmware is jailbreakable however, the Dev-Team has now released a beta of the jailbreak. This jailbreak is specifically for “developers of jailbroken apps.” Like all jailbreaks, it has restrictions. Below is some info from the Dev-Team.

Battery Color Themes
Available In: Cydia | Price: Free |
This is a nice collection of different colored batteries for your lockscreen when charging. Most are pretty nice and the white is my favorite. It would probably look pretty nice on a white iPhone. The only downfall is the colors are listed in Spanish. So, you’ll either need to learn Spanish, change the names like I did with iFile, or check out the labeled screenshots below to pick your color.

Apple Page Dots
Here’s a pretty simple little mod. It just changes your dots that tell you what page you’re on at your homescreen to Apple logos. The way it was originally designed was to have the small apple be the page you’re on and the big ones for the rest of the pages. I thought it would look better with the page I’m on be the larger apple and the rest be smaller. Again, all I did was use iFile to browse into the folder in the Themes folder and rename each image file to the opposite name. You can see below the change:
iPhone Firmware 4.0 Beta 1 Jailbroken
Now don’t get too excited here, this is just a jailbreak for a beta firmware. It also only has a 58% success restore rate. This isn’t technically even a jailbreak to the 4.0 firmware but an controlled upgrade to 4.0 from a 3.x firmware. But, here it is in video format:

I Miss My Jailbroken iPhone
I’ve upgraded to the new 4.0 firmware and there are some sweet new features. I’ve have a lot of apps because we test so many so the new folders feature is great. It would be nice if you could select one of your app icons in the folder as the main folder icon. Otherwise everyone’s iPhones will just look like a bunch of folders.
Ok, so not all of my apps will be in folders, but it’s still not real pretty. With categories I could pick my own icon. And I could put more than 12 apps in a folder. The way the folders open and work is really kewl, but there are still limits. It is definitely easier to create and edit what’s in a folder in 4.0 than it is in categories. It opens faster and looks better too. [Read more…]
iPhone Firmware 4.0 Already Jailbroken
MuscleNerd has posted a video on YouTube of veency running on iPhone firmware 4.0. veency is an VNC app which lets you see and control you’re iPhone from a computer. The video also shows the cydia icon, new dock, new calculator button and the new folders feature.
Something you won’t find in stock 4.0…a VNC server :) Questions: http://twitter.com/musclenerd & http://blog.iphone-dev.org. PS: 4.0 BETAS are BUGGY! Don’t bother trying them if you’re not developing apps for them!
Modern Family Episode Features iPad
I had never seen this show before but a friend of mine sent me a link to the show because it was about Phil, a dad in one of the families in the show, who wanted an iPad for his birthday. Pretty good show, worth the watch.
Here’s a link to the app that was featured at the end called “Happy birthday cake“. It’s a birthday cake you can write the person’s name on. It seemed like it blew out the candles when he blew on it. It doesn’t say anything about that feature in the app description. It’s actually an iPhone app that has been expanded…
