WinterBoard Mods – Theme, Keyboards and Wallpaper Packs

WinterBoard I’m still trying to get caught up on all the mods that were released this week-end. After looking through quite a few of them (though, I still have quite a few left), here are a few I thought were worth mentioning. The first is a theme, iComplete via BigBoss. The title really does explain the theme…it is very complete. It mods almost every part of your iPhone or iPod Touch including, wallpaper, icons, battery, UI images, dialer…etc. There is also a match SMBSettings theme as well. The next mods are keyboard mods. Macbook White KeyBoard, via BigBoss, and Neutra Keys, via modmyi, both theme your stock keyboard (see screenshots below). All three of the mods mentioned above are activated through WinterBoard. The last two apps are wallpaper packs…both vDay and Changing Times are available via the MacCiti source. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods – Page Dots and Themes

WinterBoard There have been a few new themes in WinterBoard lately. I think there are a couple worth mentioning. The first theme Stormy Black, via modmyi, requires blank icons at the top of each page. You can easily create blank icons using iBlank The second theme Bluebird, via BigBoss, is a clean blue and black theme. The other two mods that I thought I would mention are page dot mods. We do not see a lot of these so, I always like to point them out. Both American Page Dots and Jet Page Dots are available via the Ranbee source. All of these mods are activated using WinterBoard. Reflective Dock working in 2.2

SettingsI found a way to get a reflective dock in firmware 2.2. It’s not superhard, but you will have to know how to SSH into your iPhone. It’s also static, so it doesn’t change as you drag icons on and off the dock. You’ll need to go here to download the file for a 4-5 icon dock or go here for a 3 icon dock. I’ll be showing you how with the 4 icon option. Upload the folder named “Reflective Dock (4 Icons)” to your iPhone to the following folder: /private/var/stash/Themes

You’ll also need to copy the 4 icons that are in your dock into the “Reflective Dock (4 Icons)”. You can get these in the application’s folder. Now edit the Widget.html file and add in the icon names where it says img src=. If you have a custom dock you’ll have to put that in the same folder too named dock.png. If you’re like me and use a transparent dock then just delete the dock.png and ReflectiveDock.png files. You should just be able to activate it in WinterBoard and you will now have a reflective dock! WinterBoard Themes and Mods

WinterBoard Below are six themes and two mods that have recently been released in Cydia. The six themes include; Patches (via modmyi), iAdobi (via modmyi), Burnt Paper (via modmyi), oGn (via BigBoss), Apple 2009 (via iSpazio) and Apple 2009 Red Edition. The two mods include; Ice Keys (via modmyi) which is a mod that will change the design of the keys on the keyboard when you select them and Smaller Wide Sliders (via modmyi) which your stock slider bars wider. WinterBoard Mods – Dialer, Keyboard and Progress Bar Mods

WinterBoard Well, after a six long days of traveling and family get togethers for Christmas, I’m working my way through the Cydia apps that were released in the last few days. Below are a few notable WinterBoard mods. The first mod is a dialer mod which changes your phone keypad. Apple X Dialer, via BigBoss, does exactly what it sounds like….gives your dialer an Apple X theme. The second mod is a keyboard mod. Carbon Fiber Keyboard, via BigBoss, is a mod that will give your keyboard a carbon fiber look. Both of these mods installed and worked correctly for me. The third mod is my favorite…a Safari Progress Bar mod via BigBoss. This mod changes the loading bar in Safari when loading a web page. It comes in a few different colors including; Dark Blue, Aqua, Red, Orange, Lime, Green and Pink. All of these mods are activated via WinterBoard. SEe screenshots below. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard Below are a few cool WinterBoard mods. The first two mods are themes. Red Art (via iSpazio) is a cool theme but, it only contains about 19 icons which do not include App Store, iTunes or Cydia. But, if you are ok with only modding a few icons…then you might like Red Art. Electric Blue (via modmyi) a theme that is basically made up of clear icons and a wallpaper. What I like about the theme is that the icons are unique…I have not seen transparent icons like the ones in this theme before. I did find that the theme looks the best with the Transparent Dock, No Undocked Icon Lables and No Docked Icon Labels options turned on in WinterBoard. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard Below are a few WinterBoard mods. The first is a theme, iBLOB (via iSpazio), is a very clean theme. It basically mods the wallpaper, dock and icons…it contains 70 icons. The second theme, Elegance (via ModMyi), is very similar to the A8stract Theme. I actually prefer some of the icons from the A8stract Theme a little better. Also, if you like the Elegance theme, you are going to have to do a little work. Most of the stock icons are in Italian and need to be renamed to English in order to work. But, if you don’t mind SSH’ing it just takes a little time to get them right. The next two mods are transparent mods. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard There are a couple of cool mods in Cydia that I thought I would mention. One is a dialer mod that is actually similar to very popular dialer mod for firmware 1.1.4 and below. Retro Phone Dialer (via modmyi) will change your dialer keypad to look like an old school pay phone dialer…it’s pretty cool! The other mod is a Cydia theme. enBuufydia (via modmyi) is a mod that will change Cydia to match the Buuf theme. I know quite a few of you use the Buuf theme so, here is just one more thing you can mod to match your theme! Both mods can be activated and deactivated via WinterBoard with no issues. WinterBoard Themes and Mod

WinterBoard We are getting closer to Christmas (16 more days) and to get into the Holiday spirit, we are seeing more Christmas themes in Cydia! Today, there were a few worth mentioning. These are actually not new themes, they were available last Christmas, but they have been updated and added to Cydia for this Christmas! The three Christmas themes are; XMAS, Simple Christmas and Christmas in Green (all via iSpazio). There are a few other mods available is Cydia as well; TABLET a themes via BigBoss and Blue Stars Dot a SpringBoard dot mod via iSpazio. The only issue is that in the TABLET theme the Calculator icon is spelled incorrectly in the package therefore it doesn’t change the icon for the theme. But, if you are comfortable with SSH you can easily go into Library/Themes/TABLET.theme/Icons folder and change the Calcolator.png to say Calculator.png. All the screenshots are below. [Read more…]

Smiley Dot Mod

WinterBoard You do not see a lot of these kind of mods. What this mod does is change the dots on your SpringBoard (this ones that represent your pages). It changes them from dots to a smiley faces. The current page you are on will be a smiley (:)) while the other pages display as a (:|) serious face. There are four colors to choose from as of now; Pink, Blue, Orange and Green. The name of the mods are Pink Smiley Page Dots, Green Smiley Page Dots..etc (via BigBoss). You will need to activate this mod through WinterBoard. Screenshots below. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard There are quite a few new mods in Cydia today. There were three very cool unique new themes; AMANA08 (via BigBoss), Umicon (via BigBoss) and L’Amour (via BigBoss). All three of these themes do quite a bit of modding…battery, badges, UI images, keyboards, sliders, chat bubbles…etc. There were two new SMS themes; Christmas SMS (via BigBoss) and Simple Text (via Steffwiz’s Source). WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard Below are a few WinterBoard mods that are available in Cydia. The theme, Tinker Bell (via BigBoss), changes just the basic icons and also adds a wallpaper to the Tinker Bell wallpaper to the lock screen. There is also a nice SMS mod called Winter Night SMS (via BigBoss). If you are starting to winter/Holiday itch…you might want to check out this SMS theme. Speaking of holidays…the last mod is Christmas Ringtones (via BigBoss). If you install Christmas Ringtones it will add three ringtones (Holly Jolly Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch) in with your stock ringtones. This is a very easy way to add ringtones to your iPhone! Holly Jolly Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are the traditional renditions of the song and have great audio quality. You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch does not work (at least I can’t get it to).

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard Below are a few WinterBoard mods that have come out recently. There are two themes; My Pink Theme (via iSpazio) and Unreal (via BigBoss). The other mod is a clear lockscreen mod titled Best Clear Lockscreen (via BigBoss). This will make your slider background, keypad background and clock background transparent. It looks really nice if you also have a transparent theme on your iPhone. I’m all about transparent themes though lately I have been very satisfied with the Smoog theme and have been keeping it around. What I would really like is a nice rustic brown theme (I’m feeling winterish). I thought I was going to get that with the FootLight theme (via BigBoss) but, it only modded a few icons and I only really liked the Wallpaper and the Safari, iPod, Settings and Camera icons. All of these mods are activate via WinterBoard. Check out the screenshots below.

WinterBoard Mods

WinterBoard There were a few mods today in Cydia but, I’m only going to point out a few of them. Two themes, one battery mod and one lock screen mod. The two themes Laying on the Grass (via iSpazio) and Black and Teal (via modmyi) are both very unique themes. The battery mod, Battery Colors (via modmyi), is a simple mod of the stock battery that will change the color of your battery based on percentage (red, yellow, green, blue). Finally the lock screen mod, Tinker Bell Lockscreen (via BigBoss), is a very nicely designed lock screen mod including the battery, slider and wallpaper. Below are the screenshots of each mod. Do Not Touch Me – Status Bar Notifier Mod

WinterBoard Do Not Touch Me is a pretty cool status bar notifier mod. It changes the icons that normally show up on your status bar to words (mail, sms and call). It also adds icons to your lock screen notifying you that you have a missed call, text or an unread email. The mod comes in both white and black and is activated via WinterBoard. If you are not a huge fan of the lock screen wallpaper that comes with the mod, you can choose User Lock Background in WinterBoard and move it above Do Not Touch Me and it will use your wallpaper instead of the wallpaper that comes with the mod (see screenshots below).
