FiveIrows – Five Rows of Icons on your SpringBoard (six counting the dock icons)

FiveIrows I know many of you are patiently waiting the release of the FCSB (which has technically been released in Cydia just not by the actual developer). Well, while you wait, you could try out the FiveIrows mod. This mod allows for five rows of icons (technically six if you count the icons in the dock).

When installed, it will automatically adjusts your icons so that you are able to fit five rows on your SpringBoard. It also adds a theme to WinterBoard called FiveIRows Page Dots which will also adjust your page dots to fit better with the five rows of icons. I also noticed that when installed, it stops your icons from wiggling when in “move” mod. Not a huge issue but, reminds me of a lot of other mods of this type…they all seem to stop the wiggling. Progress Bar Mods – Change Color of Download Progress Fill

Progress Bar Mods progresscolors6 Below are a few mods that change the color of your download progress fill bar when you are installing an application from the App Store. Not to be confused with the Safari Progress Bar mod. There are a few colors available for this mod. One packages titled Progress Colors allow you the ability to to change your progress bar yellow, red, purple, orange, green, black or cool gray. LiveClock Invisible Icon

Clock I know many of you use the LiveClock mod. However, one disadvantage of the LiveClock mod is that it does not always match your current theme. With the WeatherIcon mod, at least you have the option for a transparent background (which I almost always use) allowing the mod to work with almost any theme. No Clock – Remove Status Bar Time

No Clock No Clock is a mod that removes the time from your status bar. This is nice for the themes that display the time and date on the SpringBoard (which there are quite a few of!). This mod is available through the ModMyi source and is activate/deactivated in WinterBoard. I did not have any issues when activating or deactivating this app.

BlueIslandLock – Lock Screen from the Blue-Island Theme

WinterBoard blueislandlock2 Last week, I wrote about a theme called Blue-Island. The theme itself did not work unless you had a French iPhone or iPod Touch however, you were able to use the lock screen from the theme if you listed things correctly in WinterBoard. Well, it seems the developer has made it easy on us and released just the lock screen part of the theme! RightClock – Status Bar Time Mod

RightClock RightClock is an application that will move the time on your status bar to the right side of the status bar just before the battery icon. When you install RightClock, it is added into WinterBoard…where it can be activate and deactivated. I’m not completely sure why you would want your time all the way to the right. The only thing I can think of is that you can then have a longer carrier logo mod. Also, in order for RightClock to work correctly, you cannot have any sort of status bar notifiers. If you have any status bar notifier apps installed and activated (such as IntelliScreen, Notifier, StatusNotifier…etc) it will put the time behind the notification icons on the status bar. Copper Stars – Star Rating Mod

Copper Stars Copper Stars is actually a pretty cool mod. When you delete an App Store app off of your iPhone or iPod Touch, you get the chance to give it a 1-5 star rating. This mod changes the color of those stars. Honestly, I think this is the first of this type of mod. It is acutally pretty cool. Copper Stars is activated via WinterBoard and is available via the modmyi source.

HomeScreen2.0 – Lock Screen Mod

As many of you know, I am on the hunt for the perfect lock screen mod. In doing some other modding…I ran across HomeScreen2.0 by aldwin on MacThemes2.net. It is a very simple and clean lock screen that displays the current time, date, weather and any missed events (text, call, email…etc). You can also tap on the date to see a month calendar view and you can tap on the weather to see a full week weather forecast.

I have been messing with this mod on and off for about a week now and I think I’m finally to a point where I have gotten it to work correctly so, I thought I would pass it along. Blue-Island – Lock Screen Mod

WinterBoard blueislandtheme3 I am continuously on the lookout for a good lock screen theme. I was doing some modding last night and I ran across this theme…Blue-Island via the Apple-News.fr source (this source can be installed via Cydia in the More Package Sources section…check out THIS post for more info).

Blue-Island is a theme that has a very nice lock screen. It is a simple lock screen that displays the time and any missed events (calls, texts, new mail…etc). A quick note before I get started…this is theme is via a French repo so, the theme itself will not work for you unless you are French however, the lock screen works even if you are not French. Reflective Dock Mod Updated to Support WeatherIcon Mod

Reflective Dock The ReflectiveDock mod, via the david.ashman.com source, was updated a few days ago allowing the reflective dock to correctly reflect the WeatherIcon mod. I finally had a chance to test it and it works great. If you are someone who likes to have your weather icon in your dock and you use the RefelectiveDock mod…then you are good to go. Now, all we need is an update so that it reflects the LiveClock mod! I would love to watch the little second hand go around in the reflection! :) [Read more…]

Buuf Live Time Theme – WinterBoard Theme

Winterboard buufliveclocktheme I know many of you are fans of the Buuf theme that is available via Cydia. The only downfall with themes lately, is that if you like to use the LiveTime mod (updating Clock icon), you end up with a stock clock icon in with the rest of your themed icons. Well, the Buuf Live Time Theme allows you to have the LiveTime mod with the Buuf clock icon. In order for it to work properly, you will need to have the Buuf Live Time Theme, the LiveTime mod and the Buuf2 theme all activated in WinterBoard…in that order! [Read more…]

WinterBoard Mods – Dialer, Keyboard and Progress Bar Mods

WinterBoard Well, after a six long days of traveling and family get togethers for Christmas, I’m working my way through the Cydia apps that were released in the last few days. Below are a few notable WinterBoard mods. The first mod is a dialer mod which changes your phone keypad. Apple X Dialer, via BigBoss, does exactly what it sounds like….gives your dialer an Apple X theme. The second mod is a keyboard mod. Carbon Fiber Keyboard, via BigBoss, is a mod that will give your keyboard a carbon fiber look. Both of these mods installed and worked correctly for me. The third mod is my favorite…a Safari Progress Bar mod via BigBoss. This mod changes the loading bar in Safari when loading a web page. It comes in a few different colors including; Dark Blue, Aqua, Red, Orange, Lime, Green and Pink. All of these mods are activated via WinterBoard. SEe screenshots below. [Read more…]

WinterBoard Themes

WinterBoard Below are two WinterBoard themes. iSleek Pro is a unique theme that is available via iSpazio. Amora Renew (via iSpazio) is not a new theme…many of you may remember this theme when it was available for firmware 1.1.4 and below however, this is the first I have seen it available for firmware 2.x. It also comes with an optional cover flow style dock. Though, there is a catch with this theme. Three of the icons are labeled incorrectly in the theme. Which means, you will need to ssh in and change the title of the icons in order for them to display correctly. You can find the icons in the Library/Themes/Amora Renew – Jon&David/Icons folder. You will need to change Pictures to Photos, Videos to YouTube and Appstore to App Store. If you like the theme and are comfortable with ssh…then it only takes a few seconds to fix it. WinterBoard Themes and Mod

WinterBoard We are getting closer to Christmas (16 more days) and to get into the Holiday spirit, we are seeing more Christmas themes in Cydia! Today, there were a few worth mentioning. These are actually not new themes, they were available last Christmas, but they have been updated and added to Cydia for this Christmas! The three Christmas themes are; XMAS, Simple Christmas and Christmas in Green (all via iSpazio). There are a few other mods available is Cydia as well; TABLET a themes via BigBoss and Blue Stars Dot a SpringBoard dot mod via iSpazio. The only issue is that in the TABLET theme the Calculator icon is spelled incorrectly in the package therefore it doesn’t change the icon for the theme. But, if you are comfortable with SSH you can easily go into Library/Themes/TABLET.theme/Icons folder and change the Calcolator.png to say Calculator.png. All the screenshots are below. [Read more…]

Smiley Dot Mod

WinterBoard You do not see a lot of these kind of mods. What this mod does is change the dots on your SpringBoard (this ones that represent your pages). It changes them from dots to a smiley faces. The current page you are on will be a smiley (:)) while the other pages display as a (:|) serious face. There are four colors to choose from as of now; Pink, Blue, Orange and Green. The name of the mods are Pink Smiley Page Dots, Green Smiley Page Dots..etc (via BigBoss). You will need to activate this mod through WinterBoard. Screenshots below. [Read more…]
