Now here is a cool mod for you! “As soon as you take a screenshot of your iPhone screen using the home/power quick tap method, QuickShottr uploads it directly to ImageShack and copies the link to the image into your clipboard, so you can paste it in any application you want.” Yep, that’s right…take a screenshot, it uploads it to ImageShack, it instantly puts the link in your clipboard and you can paste it anywhere!
No need to do anything else. Just take the screenshot and tap the Paste option and the link will be there ready for you to paste. [Read more…]
Backgrounder Update

When I saw an update to Backgrounder, a mod that allows apps to run in the background, I was like…YES! I thought we were going to get some of the old features back but, the update just fixes a bug in which some apps were not restoring properly. I know, I was totally bummed too. iGlass Sol Remix is a remix of the original theme. It uses some of the icons from the original theme and then adds a few new ones. The theme contains a wallpaper, dock, 277 icons and a handful of other UI mods. The theme is packaged for firmware 2.x and below so, you will have to ssh in (Library/Themes/MyGlassSol/Icons) and change Text to say Messages…if you are on 3.0 firmware.. Metallic Glass Theme – WinterBoard Theme

Metallic Glass Theme is a theme with transparent icons. Many of you know that I am always on the look-out for a new style of transparent icons (because you can change the wallpaper and feel like you have a whole new theme!). This theme contains a wallpaper, dock, sliders, 58 icons, loading screens, custom UI….etc.
I do have a few problems with this theme. The Message application doesn’t have an icon. There is an icon for SwirlyMMS so, you can always change it to your Message icon using ssh. Old Dock Theme is a WinterBoard enabled theme that changes your dock to look like the dock from back in the 1.1.1 days…yeah, I know, old school! :) Make sure you move it above your theme in WinterBoard if you would like to use it in conjunction with a theme. The developer also suggests installing the ReflectiveDock mod to make the Old Dock Theme look the best. You can get Old Dock Theme via the BigBoss source.

Sleep to Lock – Go to Lock Screen via the Sleep Button

Sleep to Lock is an application that changes your sleep button (that is the Power button on the top of your device) so that when it is tapped, instead of putting your iPhone or iPod Touch into Sleep mode, it brings it to the Lock Screen. This is a code application so, when you install it, there will not be an icon on your SpringBoard…it just automatically makes the change once installed. Categories and SBSettings Updated

Some of you might not see the update for SBSetting and Categories based on when you jailbroke (because then you would already have the new versions) but, both apps were recently updated. They both currently worked on firmware 3.0 so, neither received a very signifcant update, mostly bug fixes. Below are the change logs for both.
Categories 2.23-1:
• Added some debugging info for some crashing some folks are seeing

NES 3 is NES “rewritten” and upgraded. According to the developer the game has been “rewritten from scratch and optimized supporting the iPhone 3.0.” So, while you wait for the rest of your apps to be updated for firmware 3.0, at least you can play ROMS. There is one catch, the app is no longer free…it costs $5.99. No free trial either. Also, the it currently only works in portraite mode (landscape mode is coming in the future). [Read more…]
