Yahoo Releases Offical Flickr Application in App Store

Today, yahoo released an official Flickr application. the app is well designed for the iPhone and iPod touch and does allow for some basic Flickr functionality. The first time you open the app, you will need to login to your account and authorize the application. These are both done in Safari… it would have been nice if it would have been built into the app.

Once you are all setup you can view your photo stream, tags, sets, favorites, contacts, recent activity, leave comments, search Flickr, mark images as favorites, upload photos and videos, edit photos and videos…etc (check out the App Store description below). [Read more…]

“It’s only rock and roll, but we like it.” – Apple Event Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Apple is hosting it’s “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it.” event. At the event, they are rumored to be announcing a new iPod touch that will include a camera. Many people also believe there will be an iTunes update as well as a new iPhone OS (3.1). However, CrunchGear just wrote a nice article about what to expect tomorrow and they say that there will not be a new iPhone OS. Cydia was updated to version 1.0.3030-62. The update does add one cool new feature. There are now little green check marks next to the titled of apps you have installed on your iPhone or iPod touch. This is nice because when you search for something specific, you can see what you already have installed without opening the package info. Illumine – WinterBoard Theme

Illumine, by iKon, is a WinterBoard theme that that contains 2,537 icons, 2 docks, status bar, 6 wallpapers, badges, lock screen battery, page dots… etc. There a quite a few things to note about this theme.

First off, once you install the theme, you get a few options in WinterBoard including; the theme itself, a weathicon mod background, an SMS icon for 3.x firmware, the option for the no-glow dialpad and the option for a green dialpad.

Second, this theme “mods” all icons (except web clips). It makes all icons small with a glow below them. Not every icon is necessarily designed specifically for the theme (though, it does contain 2,537 icons!) but, at least they all have the same shape and look! I love when themes do that! [Read more…]

BigBoss Source Update – Removes bigbossbetarepo

The BigBoss source was recently updated to version 0-10. The update removes the bigbossbetarepo source. So, if you have the bigbossbetarepo source installed and you update the BigBoss source, the bigbossbetarepo source will be automatically uninstalled (and removed). Facebook 3.02 Update

Facebook was updated to version 3.02. The update has bug fixes and adds VoiceOver accessibility support.

After you update to 3.02, you may see a black bar on the home screen of the app. This is a slight bug. The black bar will go away if you do not use the application for one hour… yep, just let the app sit there unopened for an hour and it will go away. Or, you can uninstall and reinstall facebook and that will also fix the problem. [Read more…]

Crash Bandicoot Price Drop – $2.99

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D is now $2.99 down from $5.99. If you have yet to pick up the app, you could always do it while it’s cheap. No info on if it is a permanent price drop or just a sale though, I’m going with a permanent price drop on this one.
