##ICON_NAME## Joe Hewitt, the developer of the facebook App Store application, recently tweeted that the app will soon be receiving two updates. The update to version 3.03 will be bug fixes and it will be followed by version 3.1 which is said to include push notification (along with a few other nice new features).

The thing I find strange is the lack of info about version 3.1. In the past we have seen pictures, video, tweets… etc about updates. Not this time. I guess we will just have until it;s released to see all the cool new features.

Available In: App Store       Price: $0.99

qStatus Many of you are probably familiar with qTweeter, a very unique twitter and facebook client. We have been doing reviews of qTweeter for quite a while now. Well, it seems that the app has now been released in the App Store under the title qStatus… and still contains many of the same features.

I received an email from the developers that saying that jailbroke version of qTweeter will need some updating in order to function with the 3.1 firmware… which may take some time. However, qStatus it is now available in the App Store. Obviously, you can not slide from the statusbar to launch qStatus but, the app does still contain the features listed below (which some of the features are actually pretty cool… I’ve always liked this application). Facebook Facebook was updated to version 3.02. The update has bug fixes and adds VoiceOver accessibility support.

After you update to 3.02, you may see a black bar on the home screen of the app. This is a slight bug. The black bar will go away if you do not use the application for one hour… yep, just let the app sit there unopened for an hour and it will go away. Or, you can uninstall and reinstall facebook and that will also fix the problem. Read more

Facebook Updated to 3.01 – Bug Fixes

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

Facebook Facebook has been update to version 3.01… not to be confused with the upcoming 3.1 update. Version 3.01 is just some bug fixes, no new features this time around. The bug fixes include bugs with birthdays, timestamps, friend list crashing… etc. If you are having problem with your notifications, you will have to hold out a little longer, that is a server issues not a bug in the application itself. Facebook About a month and a half ago, we wrote about the 3.0 update for Facebook and all the new features it was going to include. Yesterday Joe Hewitt, the developer of the App Store Facebook application, submitted the update to the App Store. So, now it is up to Apple. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for an app to be approved by Apple. We will see if this one gets through faster or not. I don’t know about you guys but, I’m totally stoked for the “new” facebook app! More details are to come later this week! Read more

Lexulous – Triple Word Score for Double Letter Price

Available In: App Store       Price: $3.99

Lexulous I was late to the Facebook game, and although I do enjoy a good status update every now and then, I am definitely not a FB addict. One of the things I constantly hear from other friends who are self described addicts is how much time they spend playing games online. We’re not talking huge video games like Quake or Call of Duty, but rather simple ones like Boggle or Poker. One of the most popular games was Scrabulous, a Scrabble knockoff that got some interesting press a few months ago when Hasbro decided that they wanted to make some money on their game title. Well, the popular word game (now named Lexulous) has arrived to the iPhone in the form of a native app. Read more

FaceMic Update – Sweet New Features

Available In: App Store       Price: $0.99

FaceMic Today, there was an update to FaceMic, an app that allows you to record audio and then send it straight to your Facebook page (posting it on your “wall”). The update adds quite a few new features (see change log below). Two of the coolest new features include the ability to upload photos with audio recording and the ability to pick a specific friend and post an audio recording to their wall! Read more

TwitVid Update – Upload Videos to Facebook, MySpace and YouTube

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

TwitVid TwitVid recently updated their website/app adding the ability to upload your videos to Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. To turn the features on, you you will need to go to their website, login and choose where you would like the videos to upload.

The next time you post a video to Twitter using TwitVid, it will also add the video to the other places you have chosen. You do not have the choice to post one video to just Twitter and another to both Twitter and Facebook. Once you turn on the Facebook (or YouTube or MySpace) option on the website, it will automatically upload all the videos you post on Twitter to the other places. In order to not upload a video to a certain place, you would have to go back onto the website and remove that option.

Things to note:
- When a video is uploaded to Facebook it adds the video to your “wall” however, it does not add it to the actual Video app in Facebook.

- When a video is uploaded to YouTube it is uploaded directly into your YouTube account.

- When a video is uploaded to MySpce – WHAT! Who uses MySpace!!

More Features for Facebook 3.0 Update – Video Upload

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

facebook Yesterday, Doug wrote about the Facebook 3.0 update and all the cool new features that it is going to have. Well, it seems the developer is still hard at work and if those new features weren’t enough, he has also integrated video upload ability into the 3.0 update. I have a feeling he has made a lot of iPhone 3GS users happy with the new feature. He also said, “Nothing like a few bazillion emails, tweets, and blog comments to motivate you to sneak in a few extra features at the last minute.” We don’t know what the “few extra features” are but, so far, he is off to a great start! Keep up the good work!

Coming Soon: App Store       Price: Free

FacebookKeep your eyes on the update tab in the App Store! Facebook will be releasing an update to their iPhone app very soon! I have to admit I’m pretty excited about this. Right now, the app is very clunky not to mention the major bug of messages from groups in your inbox don’t show up. There’s lots to be excited about though. Here’s a list of upcoming features straight from the developer’s Facebook account: Read more

FaceMic – Send Audio Recordings to Facebook

Available In: App Store       Price: $0.99

FaceMic No need to type your Facebook update…now you can speak it! FaceMic is a pretty cool application that allows you to record audio and then send it straight to your Facebook page (posting it on your “wall”). FaceMic is very well designed and extremely easy to use.

When you open FaceMic, you will notice four options on the lower menu bar; Record, History, Setup and About. You will want to start with the Setup option. Here you will need to enter your Facebook info (email address and password). Once you have finished entering your info, you will then need to select the Grant Permission option. That is all it takes to setup FaceMic. Read more
