StayOpened – Keep App Store Open While Installing Apps

StayOpened is an application that keeps the App Store application open while the app downloads in the background. Normally, the App Store app closes as soon as you select “install” and then gives you the little pop-up for your iTunes password. This app keeps the App Store open. You still get the password pop-up but you get to stay in the App Store and the apps download in the background. This is helpful for those times when you want to give a few apps a try. Instead of closing, reopening, closing, reopening… you can just install them all!

SlingPlayer Mobile for iPad Hits App Store

Official Google Voice Application Available in App Store (Again)

The official Google Voice application has hit the App Store (again). The app, created by Google, allows you to;

    • Access your Google Voice account right from your iPhone.
    • Receive push notifications for new text or voicemail messages.
    • Send free text messages to U.S. numbers and make international calls at cheap rates.
    • Listen to your voicemail, read transcripts and manage your Google Voice inbox.
    • Display your Google Voice number as caller ID when making calls.
    • Call contacts from your iPhone Address Book or enter new numbers on the dialpad.

Apple Releases App Store Guidelines

I’m sure most of you have already heard about the fact that Apple has released their App Store Guidelines (especially since I know you all watched episode 19 of i101!) but, just in case you haven’t I thought I would mention on AiS too. Pandora App Updated, Runs in Background [finally]

Pandora updated their iPhone app to finally support running in the background. It’s using Apple’s new APIs to keep the audio streaming in the background but close down the rest of the app to save battery life. It worked well on my iPhone 3GS and the new iPod controls in the dock now support Pandora when it’s open.

Backgrounding this app only works on iOS 4 which means it doesn’t background on the iPad. Below is what it looks like.

Byline – RSS Reader – Two-Way Syncing with Google Reader

Doug recorded this review a couple days ago (I’m sure why he didn’t post it… probably because of the light in the background that I forgot to turn off!). Either way, I really like Today ToDo Pro so I thought I would pass it along. I am constantly on the quest for the perfect todo app and this one really sticks out among the rest.
