Now, this is a sweet application. Nearest Tube, from acrossair, uses the iPhone 3GS video camera, GPS and Compass to give Lodoners a real-time map and directions on where the nearest metro stations are. Very cool. WeatherIcon Update – Changed Source?

Yesterday, there an update was release for the WeatherIcon mod. The update is through the modmyi source. It doesn’t make any changes to the mod however, it does replace the mod via the david.ashman.com source. I’m not sure if David has moved his mod to the modmyi source or if the update to the app mistakenly overwrites the david.ashman.com mod. Doug said he had a little bit of trouble with the update on his iPhone 3GS, he had to unisntall and reinstall it…then it worked. I didn’t have any issues with the update on an iPhone 3G running 3.0. With the release of ultrsn0w 0.8, a software unlock, the Dev-Team has also updated redsn0w, Dev-Team’s jailbreak, to version 0.8. The updated version of redsn0w will jailbreak the iPhone 3GS, hactivated devices and includes a Linux version of the jailbreak.

WinterBoard has been updated to version 0.9.2958-2. According to saurik, the developer; “The newly released 0.9.2958 versions of MobileSubstrate and WinterBoard (upgraded to support ARM7/Thumb2) should now work on the iPhone 3GS.” So, YAY! Let us know in the comments how the update does for you. For those of you who do not have an iPhone 3GS….you will still want to upgrade to the new version of WinterBoard. Boxxy cons Theme is a unique theme made up of small icons. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper and 29 icons. Unfortunately, the theme is not packaged for the 3.0 firmware which means if you are on 3.0, you will need to ssh in and change Text.png to Messages.png. The iTunes icon is also packages incorrectly and is spelled iTunea.png and need to be changes to iTunes.png. You can find the icons in the Library/Theme/Boxxycons.theme/Icons folder. [Read more…]

Well guys, it’s finally here. Now that the iPhone 3GS is jailbreakable, ZodTTD has released version 1.0.0 of psx4iphone. I don’t see it in Cydia yet, but I’m sure it will show up soon.
