Below are a few applications that are currently free in the App Store. They are only free for a limited time so, check them out while you can!
Sparrow – “Sparrow is the simplest way to update your location on iPhone. With one tap, you can tell Fire Eagle and Twitter exactly where you are. Sparrow determines your current position using iPhone’s built-in GPS receiver and then stores your coordinates in the cloud using Fire Eagle’s secure API. Sparrow talks to Twitter, as well. Each time you check-in with Fire Eagle, Sparrow can optionally update your Twitter profile location to match. ” 
CoffeeNut – “How much do you really spend on coffee? CoffeeNut allows you to track your coffee intake throughout the year. Any time you have a coffee break, simply select your drink from the customizable menu and log it. CoffeeNut allows you to see your overall average coffee consumption as well as how much you’ve had each day for the last week.”

Copper Stars is actually a pretty cool mod. When you delete an App Store app off of your iPhone or iPod Touch, you get the chance to give it a 1-5 star rating. This mod changes the color of those stars. Honestly, I think this is the first of this type of mod. It is acutally pretty cool. Copper Stars is activated via WinterBoard and is available via the 
MobileLog is a very nice application that allows you to manage your calls and text messages. When you open MobileLog, you will get a pop-up asking if you would like to Buy the app (the app is $7.49), Activate the app (which is done after purchasing the app) or Continue Demo (it is a 6 day demo). Once you have chosen your option, you will be brought into the application.

iMood is a simple application that allows you to create scrolling banners or just display an emoticon message on your iPhone or iPod Touch’s screen. iMood opens to the main page in which you have two options; Moods or Chat. The Moods option allows you to select a mood from a list of options (Happy, Sad, Love, Awake, Laughing…etc). Once you have selected a mood, you can then type in a message. When you select Show, it will display the emoticon for the mood you chose and your message on your device’s screen. To get back to the edit page, just tap Back.
