uXM 0.53

uXMuXM allows you to play XM Satellite radio on your iPhone. We don’t have an account for XM Radio so a member of the forum has posted it for us. Thanks DJContagious!

Milliard Software, Maker of uSirius (A mobile Sirius Radio player) has released their new app, titled uXM. uXM requires a membership to XM Radio, just like uSirius. uXM is still in beta, but will still function really smoothly. When you open the app, you will see a login screen, exactly similar to the one of uSirius. On the bottom, there are 2 options: Load Channel Logos and Clear Caches, but you must be logged in to do this. Once you login, you would want to press the Channels button on the top left to start listening. [Read more…]

VideosTone 1.3

VideosTone The update to version 1.3 of VideosTone adds a few new abilities to the application. The app is now able to detect system vibrations which means, if you have your iPhone set to vibrate when you receive a call, VideosTone now recognizes that and your iPhone will vibrate even when VideosTone is enabled. The same is also true for the silence switch. VideosTone now detects the silence switch which means you are able to silent the ringer while a video ringtone is playing. The iPod volume settings are now also able to be detected by VideosTone. One thing I am really glad to see with this update [Read more…]

BeenThere 0.13

BeenThere The update to version 0.13 of BeenThere, a social networking application that allows you to geotag and post photos, does not make any huge changes to the application itself. All of the options on the main menu are the same and there are no change to the Settings menu or the available tags. I did notice that when you post a photo, you get a pop-up saying that is has been sent successfully but I can’t remember if that was in the last version of the app or not. I did however notice a change in the BeenThere website – geoplaces.appspot.com. They have gone from a black theme to a white theme…which seems much cleaner. They have also added a few new options along the side menu bar. Other than that, the actual application does not seem to have any major changes. BeenThere is available via the Trivialware source.

Ringtones 2.87

RingtonesToday, version 2.87 of Ringtones showed up in my Installer in Recent Packages. However, version 2.87 of Ringtones has already been released (a month ago!). I did notice that when I installed the “update” it changed the application icon. There are no other visual changes to the application so, I’m not really sure what the deal is…maybe just an icon update. You can get Ringtones via the Skrew source.

VT Update Pack 1.1 – for VideosTone

VideosTone" The VT Update Pack for VideosTone allows you to mute the video ringer by tapping the volume button on the side of your iPhone. A simple update but, necessary!! You will need to have VideosTone installed before installing the update. You can get the VT Update pack via the ModMyiFone source.

VideosTone 1.0

VideosTone VideosTones is an application that allows you to set a video ringer. Video ringers is a feature that the iPhone has always lacked. I had phones in the past that had the ability for video ringers and I was really stoked to see that is was finally available for the iPhone!

Before installing the VideoTone application, you will first need to install the Dynamic Module Loader application. Once it has finished installing, you can go in and install VideosTone. Note: VideosTone is a very large file (3.4 MB) and takes a decent amount of time to download…you will definitely want to be on WiFi. You may even want to grab a cup of coffee and a scone while you wait (I’m on a scone kick)! The Dynamic Module Loader application will not add an icon to your SpringBoard…it is just a code app. Once the VideosTone application has finished installing it will add a VideosTone option in your Stock Settings (so, it also is not added as an application on your SpringBoard). Once you have finished installing both applications, you will want to reboot your iPhone and then you can go into your stock Settings and locate the VideosTone option. [Read more…]

uSirius 0.61

This article was submitted in our forum by pdxDavid since we don’t have a subscription. Thanks a lot pdxDavid!!!!

uSiriusAs far as I knew the only way to get Sirius Satellite Radio on an iPhone was to load an app on the phone and stream it from your home computer… LAME!!! What year is this anyway? I have Sirius on my dash for the love of Pete! Those days are gone. This app on your phone and a current Sirius subscription is all you will need. [Read more…]

Instinctiv Shuffle 1.0.1

Instinctiv Shuffle Instinctiv Shuffle is a “smart shuffle” application. When you install Instinctiv Shuffle and turn it on, it replaces the shuffle feature in your iPod with Instinctiv Shuffle. It then uses an “…advanced AI to analyze what music you want to hear based on the songs you skip and the ones you don’t. Within just a few skips, we can play only the right songs that fit your current mood and activity. Based on skipping behavior, Instinctiv Shuffle™ anticipates what you want to hear next.” Once you have turned on the application, [Read more…]

PocketTouch 1.4.1se

PocketTouch The update to version 1.41se of PocketTouch “pays more attention to the way it looks.” I’m not exactly sure what that means but, I did notice the that transition from the Information menu to the main screen has changed…I like it, it makes me laugh. Try it…I guarantee it will make you smile! I also noticed a two other small visual changes; when you pause a song, the play icon is no longer displayed at the top and when you are in the menu the song and artist are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Though, those could have been there before and I jsut didn’t notice them! Skylar, let me know in the comments if I missed something. PocketTouch is available through the BigBoss source.

PocketTouch 1.4.1se

PocketTouch 1.4.1

PocketTouch The update to PocketTouch makes only one visual change to the application and that is the addition of a Volume Sensitivity option in the Settings menu. This allows you to choose between three levels of sensitivity; 1, 2 or 3. 1 being the most sensitive and 3 being the least sensitive. 1 is the least sensitive, 2 has twice the sensitivity and 3 has three times the sensitivity of 1. There were also some bug fixes, enhancements and added language translations. See complete change log below. PocketTouch is avilable through the BigBoss source.

1.4 Change Log:
    • Completely reworked volume controller. This answers a long time request for more constant volume control while eliminating an anti-deafening safety net I had in place in all previous versions. Incidentally, this method uses much less math, resulting for a more snappier feel to the change. And while I was at it, I fixed the “bug” (read:laziness on my part) where you had to lift your finger completely off of the screen before changing swipe direction. [Read more…]

BeenThere 0.1

BeenThere BeenThere is a social networking application that allows you to geotag photos and send them to geoplaces.appspot.com. When you open the application, you will get the main menu where you will find the options; Title, Message, Picture, Tags and GeoLoc. I’m not why the menu is in the order it is…it seems as thought you would want to take the picture first so that you can then write the Title and Message. I would start with the Picture option. Here you are able to snap a photo, just hold your iPhone up and tap on Take Picture. The only issue I have with this feature is that the Cancel button does not work. So, if you have already taken a picture and you accidentally hit the Picture option you either have to re-take the photo or close the application…either way you lose the picture you previously took.

Once you have taken your picture, [Read more…]

iPhone Video Recorder 1.2.4.1

iPhone Video Recorder The update to version 1.2.4.1 of iPhone Video Recorder now allows you to upload videos to Youtube using your standard Youtube account. The update also gives better stability to the application and fixes a few bugs. Just a reminder, if you do not have the registered version of this applications, you can only record up to 30 times and they can only be 30 seconds long. Also, it will add a watermark in the lower right corner of the video that says, Dream Catcher and the website. If you have the registered version, [Read more…]

Your2Face 1.0

Your2Face Your2Face is a fun application that creates a mirror image of a photo. When you open the application you will have to wait 10 seconds for it to open. Once it opens, you will see two options, Settings and SnapShot. In the Settings you can turn on/off the sound, get hits on how to use the application, see the Credits, learn more About the applications, Purchase the application and Activate it. Back on the main screen, you will notice a red vertical line. The red line indicates where the image will be mirrored. You can also turn your iPhone horizontally and the red line will flip to match. Now all you have to do is hold your iPhone up and select SnapShot. It will take a few seconds to save the image. It will then add the photo to your Camera Roll. It will save it as three images, the original photo, [Read more…]
