TimeCapsule 0.37b1

TimeCapsule The update to version 0.37b1 of TimeCapsule now allows you to back-up your mobile favorites. Which is cool. You can also email SMS Repository in tab-delimited file (can be opened with EXCEL) and localization with lproj. I cannot tell you much about the last two options. They are restricted to the full version which unfortunately I do not have. Though, I did grab some screenshots off the developer’s website. TimeCapsule is available through the databinge source.

FingerprinterV2 – Fingerprint Mod

Here is a cool mod that I ran across. It changes your Side To Unlock to a one-touch “fingerprint recognition.” I will say that it is a nice change from the normal Slide To Unlock! Below are the steps on how to install it. It is really quick and easy!

Note: You will need Customize in order to install this mod.

1. Open Cusotmixe

2. Select Theme Browser

fring for iPod Touch (version 0.9786)

fring Many of you are familiar with fring and as you know frig was developed for the iPhone however, they have had a ton of requests to make it more compatible with the iPod Touch. Well, you asked and they delivered. Today, version 0.9786 of fring was released making it compatible with the iPod Touch. Here is what the developer has to say:

Just like the original version created for the iPhone, this is the same special pre-release R&D version with some chat bugs fixed so now you can mobile internet chat & interact in fring-style on your iPod touch (I know I am stating the obvious… but as there is no Microphone the iPod touch…. it means no fring calls as well).

Doug and I also found that this version works a lot smoother for us. He was able to call Skype on my computer, I was able to call his iPhone from Skype on my computer and we were able to call from iPhone to iPhone using fring. Very, very cool! fring is vailable through the fring source.

Below is a video of the developer using fring on an iPod Touch.

Watch “fring for iPod Touch” on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Where are the Refurbished iPhones?

This is an interesting story sent to us by one of our viewers. It is about a gentleman (David) who ordered a refurbished iPhone through AT&T and received a bag…yep, that’s it, nothing but the bag. The only reason this concerns me is because I know a few of you bought refurbished iPhone’s from AT&T during the last sale. Below is a just snippit from David’s blog.

I am a developer for Pegasus News. My team has been working on an application for the iPhone and was in need of hardware for testing, so when my brother mentioned that AT&T had refurbished iPhones on their site, I jumped on the deal knowing that stock at all local Apple stores was nonexistent. I place my order, everything goes through just fine, I’m a happy customer. I try to pull up my order status on AT&T’s site and get an error message telling that it might take 24 hours for information to be available in their system. This seems like a common enough requirement, so I wait patiently.

ONE WEEK AND FOUR BLOG POSTS LATER… [Read more…]

BeenThere 0.1

BeenThere BeenThere is a social networking application that allows you to geotag photos and send them to geoplaces.appspot.com. When you open the application, you will get the main menu where you will find the options; Title, Message, Picture, Tags and GeoLoc. I’m not why the menu is in the order it is…it seems as thought you would want to take the picture first so that you can then write the Title and Message. I would start with the Picture option. Here you are able to snap a photo, just hold your iPhone up and tap on Take Picture. The only issue I have with this feature is that the Cancel button does not work. So, if you have already taken a picture and you accidentally hit the Picture option you either have to re-take the photo or close the application…either way you lose the picture you previously took.

Once you have taken your picture, [Read more…]

iPhone Video Recorder 1.2.4.1

iPhone Video Recorder The update to version 1.2.4.1 of iPhone Video Recorder now allows you to upload videos to Youtube using your standard Youtube account. The update also gives better stability to the application and fixes a few bugs. Just a reminder, if you do not have the registered version of this applications, you can only record up to 30 times and they can only be 30 seconds long. Also, it will add a watermark in the lower right corner of the video that says, Dream Catcher and the website. If you have the registered version, [Read more…]

SkySMS 1.0.7

SkySMS I do not see any visual changes with the update to version 1.0.7 of SkySMS. I thought maybe the updated would add additional carriers. But, from what I can tell, everything is the same. SkySMS is available through the iSpazio source.

PokerSolitarus 1.001 & 1.002

PokerSolitarus The update to PokerSolitarus 1.001 adds four translations to the application. On the main play screen, you will notice four flags at the bottom. You can select a flag to change the language. The languages include, French, English, German and Spanish. Other than that, I do not see any visual changes to the application. PokerSolitarus is available through the iSpazio source.

Note: There has been a quick update to version 1.002 of PokerSolitarus. This version adds Latin to the list of available Languages.

Buuf2 and SimpleBlack

Here are two themes from the ModMyiFone source. Neither of these are new themes, they are actually themes that have been around for a while (or based off themes the have been around for a while). I really like Buuf2 and if you are looking for a simplistic theme, SimpleBlack might be just the theme for you (too boyish for me! :) ). I am on a theme kick lately, for some reason I have been changing my theme everyday! If you are like me and want variety, these might be two themes to add to your collection!

PhoneZap 1.3.7

PhoneZap This update to PhoneZap claims to have fixed all bugs when creating ringtones! I did have a few issues after installing the update…every time I opened the application, it would just close back to the SpringBoard. So, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it which fixed the problem. Once in the application, I was able to easily create a ringtone and save it. However, I can not for the life of me get the ringtones I create to set as my ringtone! I go into Settings/Sounds/Ringtone and choose my ringtone…it plays the preview just fine but, [Read more…]

SkySMS SkySMS is a text application that integrates free texting services. Which allows you to then use those services to send text messages for free. Your2Face 1.0

Your2Face Your2Face is a fun application that creates a mirror image of a photo. When you open the application you will have to wait 10 seconds for it to open. Once it opens, you will see two options, Settings and SnapShot. In the Settings you can turn on/off the sound, get hits on how to use the application, see the Credits, learn more About the applications, Purchase the application and Activate it. Back on the main screen, you will notice a red vertical line. The red line indicates where the image will be mirrored. You can also turn your iPhone horizontally and the red line will flip to match. Now all you have to do is hold your iPhone up and select SnapShot. It will take a few seconds to save the image. It will then add the photo to your Camera Roll. It will save it as three images, the original photo, [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 0.93

IntelliScreen The update to IntelliScreen adds a new Alerts option. When you select Alerts, you will get a bunch of alert features. You can turn on/off Taskbar Icons, Missed SMS Alerts, Missed Calls Alerts and New Mail Alerts. I like the Taskbar Alert icons however, I’m not sure what I think about the Missed SMS and Missed Call Alerts. When you have a missed Text Message is moves all your stuff down and adds it below your email information and gives you the ability to read the entire text message. The missed call alert shows up as a layover over the top of everything else which I am not sure I like.

Back in the Alerts settings, [Read more…]

AirHockey 1.010 & Earth3D 2.117

Earth3D AirHockey I do not see any visual changes in the updates to either AirHockey or Earth3D. I’m assuming there must have been some behind the scene fixes. Let me know if you notice anything. Both are available through the iSpazio source.
