QuickShottr SBSettings Toggle

QuickShottr SBSettings Toggle This SBSettings toggle allows you to turn on/off the QuickShottr mod. QuickShottr is a mod that; “As soon as you take a screenshot of your iPhone screen using the home/power quick tap method, QuickShottr uploads it directly to ImageShack and copies the link to the image into your clipboard, so you can paste it in any application you want.” However, the toggle seems to be stuck toggled off. Every time I go into SBSetting, the toggle is off and even if I toggle it back on, it automatically toggle off as soon as I close SBSettings. Thus, I am unable to use the QuickShottr mod at all because it is always toggled off. [Read more…]

TwitVid Update – Upload Videos to Facebook, MySpace and YouTube

TwitVid TwitVid recently updated their website/app adding the ability to upload your videos to Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. To turn the features on, you you will need to go to their website, login and choose where you would like the videos to upload.

The next time you post a video to Twitter using TwitVid, it will also add the video to the other places you have chosen. You do not have the choice to post one video to just Twitter and another to both Twitter and Facebook. Once you turn on the Facebook (or YouTube or MySpace) option on the website, it will automatically upload all the videos you post on Twitter to the other places. In order to not upload a video to a certain place, you would have to go back onto the website and remove that option.

Things to note:
– When a video is uploaded to Facebook it adds the video to your “wall” however, it does not add it to the actual Video app in Facebook.

– When a video is uploaded to YouTube it is uploaded directly into your YouTube account.

– When a video is uploaded to MySpce – WHAT! Who uses MySpace!!

FontSwap Update – Works on Firmware 3.0 *Updated

FontSwap FontSwap has been updated to version 1.4 and it now works on firmware 3.0. When I tested it, I was able to change the Dialer/Calculator, LockClock, Note and System fonts and then change them back to the default font (using the app) with no problem. [Read more…]

Scour – WinterBoard Theme

Scour scourtheme2 Scour is a unique WinterBoard theme, nicely designed theme. I haven’t seen one quite like this. It contains; a dock, status bar, wallpaper, badges and 47 icons. There is one problem with this theme, the Weather icon was not packaged correctly and so you will need to ssh in (Library/Themes/Scour/Icons) and change the weather.png icon to Weather.png. This is definitely not a Twitter app replacement, it is a very simple app that has a main function of bringing you push notifications.

When your first open that app, you will get a pop-up telling you that iTweetReply would like to send you push notification.

The One Ring – WinterBoard Theme

The One Ring theoneringtheme2 The One Ring is a Lord of the Rings inspired theme. The theme contains a wallpaper, lock screen background, status bar, badges, sliders, lock screen battery, 79 icons, loading screen, calculator mod, dialer mod and basically an entire UI mod. Usually I do not write about themes that are based off thins like Lord of the Rings or Mickey Mouse or whatever but, this one is very complete. The only issue is that it is packaged for firmware 2.x so that Message app doesn’t have an icon. That can be easily fixed by sshing into the Library/Themes/The One Ring/Icons folder and changes Texts.png to Messages.png. You can get The One Ring Theme via the BigBoss source. [Read more…]

PDANet SBSettings Toggle

PDANet Toggle PDANet Toggle allows you to easily toggle PDANet, a tethering application, on and off. When you install the application, the toggle is automatically added into your SBSettings’ toggles. I’m not sure if this allows you to close PDANet while connected (without using Backgrounder) and still tether to your computer or if it is just a toggle for the actual app…when on, you can use PDANet, when off, you cannot. I’m not sure because, when I tested it (a million time!!) I couldn’t get it to work but, I’m not going to blame that on the toggle…I blame it on my lame AT&T connection! vWallpaper (video wallpaper application) and SkrewCommom for Firmware 3.0

vWallpaper Some of you might remember the app vWallpaper, an application that enables video wallpapers. I honestly haven’t written about the app is quite some time however, people are wondering if it has been updated for the 3.0 firmware yet. A few days ago, the developer released a beta version of both SkrewCommon (a code app that is needed in order to run vWallpaper) and vWallpaper. It is a manually install and there are a few bugs still such as; the device will not go into sleep mode and sometimes the video wallpaper will not restart after closing an application. Weather Machine – Feature-Filled Weather App

Weather Machine Weather Machine is a very detailed and information loaded weather application. Honestly, this app might have too many features…if that is possible! I’m going to explain a few features of the app and then I will let you watch the demo video so that you can get the full feel of the app.

When the app opens, it will ask to find your current location. After it did this the first time, I actually shut this feature off in the Settings so that it didn’t ask every time I open the app…it is slow and it is not extrememly accurate.

Once the app is open, you will see the current weather conditions including the current temperature, feels like temperature, weather conditions, pressure, humidity, wind direction and wind speed. It you double-tap on the Current Weather screen, it will enlarge the screen and you will get the current visibility and dew point. If you tap on the arrows at the bottom of the current weather screen, it will scroll through surrounding cities. If you rotate the device into landscape mode, you will get a animated Satellite map of the current conditions, a current conditions map, a forecast map and an animated doppler radar map.
